If your work involves regulated activities (children and/or protected adults), you will need to obtain a satisfactory PVG. Some posts require a Standard or Basic Disclosure check; most others will require completing a Criminal Convictions Form. All checks are obtained via Disclosure Scotland. If successful, you will need to cover the cost of the required disclosure check.
Regulatory Bodies
If your role requires registration with a regulatory body such as HCPC or SSSC, you must obtain and maintain registration, including paying any applicable fees. As part of the local government pay deal, local authority staff are no longer required to pay SSSC fees.
