Registered Peri operative Care Practitioner(Scrub side) - RGH Theatres

Registered General Nurse with Nursing Midwifery Council part1, 2 or 12
Will be required to act within NMC code of conduct and professional regulations.
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
Main duties of the job
Physical effort is required to stand for long periods
Prepare and assist surgical equipment.

Regular handling of patients and standing for long periods.
Regular handling and moving of heavy equipment.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Nursing degree / Registered General Nurse or equivalent (Registered Operating Department Practitioner for example)
Experience
* Must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the surgical environment and type of work to be undertaken
* Student placement in theatre
* Previous experience in a theatre environment
* Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above
