About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic to join our busy workshop. You will carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and MOTs (training provided if not already qualified). This is a hands‑on, varied role ideal for a confident, experienced technician who enjoys working across a broad range of vehicles and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs across all makes and models
* Conduct MOT testing in line with DVSA standards (if qualified)
* Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment and technical expertise
* Complete mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, timing belts/chains, gearboxes, exhausts, and tyres
* Carry out occasional welding and fabrication tasks as required
* Maintain accurate service records, job cards and documentation
* Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy and customer‑ready
* Work efficiently while upholding high standards of workmanship and professionalism
About You
* Experienced Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic
* MOT Testing licence preferred (training/support provided if required)
* Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance & repair preferred
* Minimum 4–5 years’ workshop experience
* Strong all‑round mechanical and diagnostic skills
* Reliable, motivated and professional attitude
* Full UK driving licence
* Own tools required
