Team Leader
Pay rate:£16.50 (Monthly Pay)
Working Pattern:36 hours, 8:00am to 8:00pm, 8:00pm to 8:00am, Monday to Sunday
We have a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Truro. This person has Charge Syndrome, a learning disability, registered deaf and blind, but this does not define them. They have a great sense of humour and enjoy hobbies such as swimming, visiting farms, and sensory rooms. To make the most of outings, we prefer candidates who are local to Truro or know the area, and who can drive, holding a full UK Driving Licence.
Enriching activities are key to support, and you will bring an empathetic approach to make a meaningful difference. Prior experience in the following areas is required:
* Learning Disabilities
* Complex care, including Tracheostomy or PEG
* Behaviours perceived as challenging
* Mental health
What will your shift involve?
You will provide high-quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring compassionate and tailored support. Responsibilities include Tracheostomy management, PEG feeding, engaging in meaningful activities, and community outings to promote social interaction and well-being. You'll also support household tasks to maintain a comfortable, organized living environment that encourages independence. Clear communication in their preferred manner is essential for building trust.
