The role
We are looking for a Mixing Operative to join our production team. This role is essential to provide a comprehensive service to the manufacturing operation by ensuring that production lines are adequately supplied with mixes and materials for the day to day running.
Key accountabilities
* Operate hand trucks / power-trucks / counterbalance trucks safely, completing necessary safety checks
* Respond to any reasonable requests from department Line captains/section managers
* Ensure that any necessary communication takes place to ensure smooth running of operation – shift handovers / Mixers/Raw materials / Logistic-leaders
* Complete all relevant checks – sieve integrity, pre start, mixer weigher sheets, foreign matter, glass and hard plastic
* Ensure Promtek is operated and used correctly.
* Maintain correct stock rotation when using raw materials
* Monitor changeovers, ensuring that mixes are ready when the line changes over.
* Baking lines to be supplied with mixes on request. Mix and weigh all raw materials prior to mixing
Skills & experience
* Good understanding of written & spoken English plus numeracy skills
* Willingness to learn and be flexible in the tasks required of you
* Work as part of a team - to join in and help those around you
* Be able to follow instructions from other team members and supervision
* Prior mixing room and/or hand truck / power truck / counterbalance truck experience would be advantageous
* Good planning and organising skills
