Hywel Dda University Health Board Research and Development delivery support team is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Research Assistant to provide administrative support for all research studies across the Health Board. The role will be primarily with the study set‑up team. This is a permanent position at 15 hours per week. The successful candidate will play a key role in the administration and data management support for all aspects of the study set‑up. The team is based in Withybush hospital (although the base may be considered elsewhere), as well as working alongside a large geographically spread R&D team to support researchers to open studies throughout the health board. The post holder will need a willingness to learn about research study set‑up, bespoke computer systems, quality assurance and national and international research regulations which will enable them to assist in the support of the set‑up service. They should be willing to work flexibly to support the service, have excellent communication, organisational and computer literacy skills as well as being able to work well as part of a team. Informal visits to the set‑up team in Withybush hospital are welcomed to discuss the role. The Research Assistant will work as part of the research set‑up team supporting work all types of research studies.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and data management support for all aspects of study set‑up as an integrated member of the team.
* Assist with the coordination of workload and meetings.
* Provide administrative support for the wider R&D support function (set‑up, quality assurance, research development).
