Lecturer (Teaching & Scholarship) in Management
The University of Bristol Business School invites applications for an outstanding Lecturer in Management (P3) on a full-time, open-ended basis.
We are seeking candidates with a strong track record in teaching and scholarship, keen to contribute to the development of the Work and Organisation Group. The group focuses on all forms of work and employment across a range of organisational structures and practices in the globalised world, extending from the local economy to global institutions.
Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate, postgraduate and executive programmes in management theory and practice, work and employment, sustainability, digitalisation, and related fields. The role requires delivering inspiring and innovative teaching at all levels, including post‑experience education.
Key responsibilities and expectations:
* Teach across all levels, including post‑experience education
* Fulfil the role of a Unit Director and develop units when required
* Act as a personal tutor for undergraduate students and supervise MSc and UG dissertations in management
* Design and administer assessments, mark exams and coursework papers
* Engage actively with pedagogical scholarship
* Contribute to the development of teaching and pedagogy within the group
* Provide administration and leadership within the School or University through relevant teams, groups and committees
* Lead curriculum development and enhancement in line with the school ambition and strategy
Qualifications and experience
* Strong teaching record across undergraduate, postgraduate and executive programmes
* Experience leading research and scholarship in management, work and organisation, or related fields
* Demonstrated ability to design interdisciplinary programmes and collaborate across disciplines
* Evidence of scholarly publication and engagement with higher‑education research communities
* Experience in curriculum development and assessment design
