Binnies, an RSK Group company, is seeking talented Civil Engineers to join our newly formed Water Services team. You will work on a broad range of exciting water and wastewater projects for major water utility clients.

As a Civil Engineer, you will work in teams delivering diverse projects for clients including Anglian, Southern, Severn Trent, and Thames. Projects range from strategic studies and feasibility exercises, such as Thames Water’s £3.5 billion SESRO project, to design work for water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure improvements, like Anglian’s £350 million Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant Relocation Project. You will have the opportunity to be involved from concept through to detailed design and construction.

About the Role
You will typically organize and undertake civil engineering activities within multi-disciplinary teams, potentially mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities include:
* Conducting strategic studies, feasibility work, and designing for water utilities projects, including water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and dam safety,
* Producing calculations and reports to support designs,
* Engaging directly with clients to understand needs and develop solutions,
* Creating business cases and proposals to secure project funding,
* Collaborating with construction partners to enhance safety and understand construction processes,
* Ensuring designs consider buildability, sustainability, health & safety, and environmental standards.
About You
* Approaching or at Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers or another relevant body.
* Previous experience in the water sector is not essential; transferable technical skills are valued.
* Enthusiasm to support and mentor junior engineers towards Chartered or Incorporated status.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Self-motivated team player.
