Assistant Accountant – Manufacturing Environment
Location: Melton Mowbray (Hybrid – 3 days on-site)
The Opportunity
This is not your typical Assistant Accountant role.
If you want to move beyond transactional finance and get closer to how a business actually makes money, this role offers real exposure to costing, stock, and operational finance within a manufacturing environment.
We're working with a well-established business that is strengthening its finance team and needs an Assistant Accountant who can add value quickly.
The Role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will:
* Support month-end and management accounts
* Take ownership of inventory accounting and stock reconciliations
* Analyse obsolete and slow-moving stock
* Work closely with operations on costing and production data
* Support stock takes and investigate discrepancies
* Assist with variance analysis and standard costing
* Contribute to financial controls and reporting accuracy
* Support intercompany and commission calculations
