We’re looking for an Associate Design and Standards Mechanical Manager to lead the development and continual improvement of engineering design standards across a diverse andplex property estate.
About the RoleThis is a high-level position responsible for driving engineering excellence,pliance, and innovation across all business units. You’ll act as a subject matter expert in mechanical engineering, influencing design specifications, construction methods, and sustainability strategies. The role is pivotal in translating strategic goals into tangible engineering oues that support long-term value and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the development andernance of mechanical design standards and specifications.
2. Drive lifecycle value and sustainability through engineering innovation.
3. Act as a change agent, embeddingpliance and continual improvement across property functions.
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to deliver engineering excellence.
5. Champion low-carbon and net-zero solutions in line with corporate sustainabilitymitments.
6. Sign off on quarterly updates to engineering standards and associated documentation.
What We’re Looking For
7. A Chartered Engineer (or working towards registration) with significant experience in mechanical engineering within property or construction.
8. Strong leadership andmunication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
9. Proven ability to manageplex projects and drive change across multidisciplinary teams.
10. Deep understanding ofpliance, lifecycle modelling, and sustainable design practices.
11. Experience working with external consultants and managing engineeringernance processes.
