About The Role
SHIFT PATTERN - Ad-hoc relief role working days, nights, and weekends.
The Area Support Officer provides flexible support across various client sites within a designated area, ensuring high standards of security and customer service. This role suits someone adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills, dedicated to safety and security across diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide cover for absences, vacancies, or special events at client sites.
2. Deliver security services including access control, patrolling, monitoring premises, conducting searches, responding to alarms, and detailed incident reporting.
3. Operate security equipment such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
4. Ensure compliance with site-specific procedures and policies.
5. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
6. Build positive relationships with clients, staff, and visitors, acting as the main contact for security concerns during shifts.
7. Escalate and resolve client issues effectively.
8. Support Functions
9. Provide training and guidance to new security personnel.
10. Adapt quickly to site protocols, maintaining professionalism in diverse settings.
11. Maintain flexibility and readiness for short-notice changes.
12. Essential Requirements
13. Valid SIA License – Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guard (SG).
14. Full UK Driving License and access to a reliable vehicle.
15. Proven security experience and knowledge of security operations.
16. Strong communication skills for incident reporting and client interactions.
17. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm in emergencies.
