Job Title:Engineering & Construction Contract (ECC) Supervisor – Water Delivery
Location:Falmer – Hybrid Working
Salary: Circa £55,000
Hours:37 hours per week

Southern Water is looking for aSupervisorto be our eyes and ears on-site, ensuring our infrastructure projects meet the highest quality assurance standards under the NEC Contract.
As a key player in our construction delivery team,you’lllead quality assurance across major infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. Monitor our Strategic Delivery Partners & Delivery Partners to assure our Project Managers the work meets the Works Information requirements. Champion a “right first time” approach,witnessingcritical construction hold points and commissioning tests.Provideexpert guidance and mentoring to junior team members and drive continuous improvement byidentifyingopportunities to enhance delivery processes.
What you willbe responsible for:
1. Supporting the management of health, safety, and security on-site
2. Managing construction inspections and defect resolution
3. Supervisor related contract administration within CEMAR
4. Solving pre-construction and on-site challenges
5. Supporting commissioning activities
6. Assistingdelivery teams and reporting
Additionalrequirements specific to the role
7. Regular travel to construction sites across the region
8. There may be a requirement for limited out-of-hours workingin order tomeet the business need
Whatyou’llbring to the role
Essential
9. Strong working knowledge of NEC4 Contract Management with specific understanding of Supervisor duties
10. Background in Civil or Process Engineering, qualified to HNC level or above
11. Proven experience in construction management and contractor supervision
12. Familiarity with key regulatory and industry standards, including CDM, CESWI, WIMES, and Regulation 31
13. Strong communicationskills and the ability to produce clear and concise reporting
Desirable
14. NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification.
15. Experience within the water or utilities sector.
