Working in partnership with all areas of the business to deliver the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the site-based Security Control Room. To keep the Security Site Manager/Supervisor informed of incidents and ensure that agreed levels of service and contractual requirements are met as a minimum.
Responsible for the cohesive delivery of security-related incident management, acting as the heart of the Centre for all operational responses to incidents.
This position involves effectively managing the response to all incidents in the centre, leading by example, and ensuring the centre offers guests a superb experience consistently.
You will work closely with Security, Housekeeping, and M&E departments in incident management, being the first point of contact for stakeholders such as guests, Brand Partners, businesses, and contractors.
Main Duties
1. Coordinate the response of teams to incidents reported in the control room.
2. Ensure all critical alarms are actioned promptly.
3. Utilize available technology to maintain building security and report suspicious activity according to SOPs.
4. Report and record incidents promptly, dealing with them efficiently.
5. Escalate incidents to Emergency Services as needed, recording all in the MERLIN platform.
6. Prevent unauthorized access/egress through Service Yards.
7. Maintain procedures for the removal of goods.
8. Conduct premises patrols using CCTV, noting results in the patrol book.
9. Motivate the team, maintain morale, and demonstrate a proactive work ethic.
10. Ensure compliance with site policies and procedures.
11. Monitor access and egress, respond to breaches, and manage emergency systems.
12. Manage keys, radios, BWV, and assist with access card production.
13. Gather and utilize intelligence from various sources and maintain security updates.
14. Maintain the integrity of security systems.
15. Ensure procedures for goods removal and permit to work are followed.
16. Comply with data protection guidelines regarding personal and confidential information.
17. Answer incoming calls promptly and manage the switchboard after 19:00.
18. Keep the work area clean and tidy.
19. Refer queries to the supervisor on shift.
20. Secure security cards and complete daily filing.
