This role will focus on planning efficient deliveries, managing subcontractor logistics, and handling key administrative tasks related to vehicle management, fleet planning, and cost control. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure customer and operational requirements are consistently met.
About the role:
As the Logistics Planner, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Plan and schedule deliveries to meet customer requirements, prioritising internal fleet.
Maximise load efficiency and reduce costs using in-house planning systems.
Manage fleet-related documentation, including vehicle checks, fuel usage, and timesheets.
Liaise with subcontractors, manage their invoicing, and support accurate reconciliation.
Coordinate returns between sites and arrange hotel bookings for fleet drivers.
Monitor and record vehicle mileage and assist with fleet maintenance planning.
Ensure accurate delivery of products and accessories, including direct-to-customer orders.
Support the business in improving logistics efficiency and maintaining service excellence. About you:
3 years’ experience in logistics planning or administration.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Confident working with planning systems and analysing data.
Proactive problem-solver with a logical, analytical mindset.
Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced team.
Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills.
