JOB TITLE: Procurement Manager
REPORTING LINE: Financial Controller

THE ROLE
To lead and manage the procurement function for Rangers Football Club, ensuring value for money, compliance with procurement and delegated authority policies, and timely acquisition of goods and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement
· Develop and implement the Club’s procurement strategy in line with budget, operational needs, and compliance requirements.
· Lead tendering, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract award processes.
· Establish and maintain a preferred supplier list and framework agreements.
· Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
· Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal obligations, and industry regulations.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved terms, and supply chain resilience.
Accounts Payable Support
· Support on AP processes, where necessary, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
· Maintain effective procurement controls to prevent duplicate or fraudulent payments.
· Support month-end close by ensuring accurate accruals and reporting.
· Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and disputes promptly.
Collaboration & Reporting
· Partner with budget holders to plan and forecast procurement needs.
· Report on procurement performance, cost savings, and contract compliance.
· Provide guidance to colleagues on procurement best practices.
THE CANDIDATE
The candidate attributes include:
Essential:
· Proven procurement experience within a commercial or professional services environment.
· Strong understanding of procurement best practice, tendering, and contract law.
· Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
· IT literate with experience using ERP/procurement systems.
Desirable:
· CIPS qualification or working towards it.
· Experience in the sports, entertainment, or events sector.
