Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Youth Justice Officer in the Youth Justice Team within Islington. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their youth justice staffing levels.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable working environment with experienced leadership, whilst receiving regular supervision and training opportunities. * Prepare high-quality Pre-Sentence Reports (PSR), Referral Order and Breach Reports for court
* Undertake detailed assessments using AssetPlus to inform intervention and risk management plans
* Deliver structured and sequenced interventions to reduce reoffending and manage risk of harm
* Monitor and manage risk and safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate action and escalation
* Work in close partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to achieve positive outcomes
* Support young people to access education, training, and employment opportunities
* Contribute to team meetings, service development, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting in line with statutory requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Previous Youth Justice experience
* Preferably a Qualified Social Worker or Probation Officer
