About the role
Reporting to the UK Managing Director the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, purchasing and supply chain and will adopt a forward thinking, strategic approach to ensue that the organisation can meet customer demand within a highly challenging market. Key duties include:
1. Manage the company Production Department with full responsibility for labour and material planning
2. Oversee the Purchasing Department ensuring full visability regarding product or material shortfalls and predicted lead times.
3. Undertake full control of the supply chain and inventory functionc to ensure a consistant flow of required components and ensure an efficient manufacturing process.
4. Drive continuous improvements within the Operations team to improve efficiency, flexibility, and quality across all areas
5. Setting team objectives and personal development plans
6. Oversee product testing, fault finding and customer returns
7. Implement performance KPIs across the production, purchasing and supply chain functions
8. Prepare business cases for suggested efficiency improvement projects
