About the Role As an Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating a small team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring safe and effective maintenance across a wide range of production equipment.
You'll lead by example, managing day-to-day tasks, allocating work, supporting breakdown response, and ensuring all planned maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and support a small team of multi-skilled engineers on shift.
Allocate engineering tasks, ensuring effective use of labour, skills and resources.
Oversee reactive maintenance, coordinating rapid and safe breakdown resolution.
Ensure planned preventive maintenance (PPM) is completed on time and to specification.
Support site engineering projects, installations and commissioning of new equipment.
Maintain engineering documentation, compliance records and shift reports.
Contribute to the development of engineering apprentices and junior team members.
Requirements Time-served, multi-skilled engineer (electrical or mechanical bias considered).
Strong background in FMCG, food manufacturing, or other fast-paced production environments.
Confident in fault finding across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
Good understanding of safe working practices and engineering compliance. Flexible, proactive and committed to delivering high engineering standards.
