Pizza Chef - Food Truck - Thetford

Specialising in handcrafted, wood-fired pizzas made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, our food truck is a local favourite at events, markets, and pop-up locations across Norfolk.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and reliable chef who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and takes pride in delivering consistently delicious pizzas.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas to order using fresh dough and seasonal toppings
* Operate and maintain a wood-fired or stone pizza oven
* Ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety are upheld at all times
* Manage stock levels, prep ingredients, and minimise waste
* Collaborate with the team to develop new pizza specials and seasonal offerings
* Provide excellent customer service during busy service periods
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in a compact kitchen space
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen or food truck
* Confident working independently and managing a small kitchen setup
* Strong understanding of dough preparation, fermentation, and pizza oven operation
* Passionate about fresh, local ingredients and creative flavour combinations
* Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to adapt to changing service locations and conditions
* Valid UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
