Tech Recruiter - Building PHP teams across the UK
Location: Preston (Hybrid)
The Role
We’re on the lookout for a PHP Developer who loves clean, scalable code and wants to focus on true object-oriented PHP, not frameworks. This is a backend-heavy role, ideal for someone who enjoys architecting systems from the ground up and wants a voice in technical decision-making.
You'll be working on greenfield development, building new features and improving usability, performance, and scalability across their core platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Building robust, scalable backend services in pure OOPHP
* Developing and optimising APIs, integrations, and internal tooling
* Collaborating with a close-knit tech team on architecture and system design
* Writing clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance and readability
* Supporting ongoing enhancements and usability improvements
What You’ll Need
* Solid commercial experience with PHP, specifically object-oriented PHP without reliance on frameworks
* Strong understanding of LAMP stack development
* Appreciation for clean architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns
* Experience working in a collaborative, agile environment
