Behaviour Mentor – Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)
Location: West Drayton
Pay: £110 – £125 per day | Full-time | Term-time only
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in West Drayton, supporting young people who require additional guidance to engage positively in education.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring to pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
* Support students in re-engaging with learning and building confidence, particularly within core subjects.
* Use de-escalation techniques and restorative practices to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage positive attitudes and improved outcomes.
* Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with young people in a PRU, SEMH, or behavioural support setting.
* Skilled in behaviour management, de-escalation, and conflict resolution.
* Resilient, patient, and empathetic with a genuine passion for making a difference.
* Able to act as a positive role model, encouraging respect, motivation, and responsibility.
