As a Resilience Coach, you will work closely with studentsparticularly those with SEND, SEMH needs, and low-level mental health challengesproviding tailored support that builds coping strategies, emotional intelligence, and long-term resilience. Collaborating with staff and external agencies, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where students feel understood, supported, and empowered to achieve both academically and personally. About you You are passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers and thrive, with experience working in a pastoral or wellbeing capacityparticularly with students aged 1619, including those with SEND and SEMH needs. You bring strong coaching, mentoring or counselling skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships while maintaining professional boundaries. Confident in your understanding of mental health challenges affecting post-16 learners, safeguarding requirements, the SEND Code of Practice, and the Equality Act 2010, you are committed to inclusive practice and collaborative working. You communicate with empathy and clarity, work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, and are proactive in signposting to external services where appropriate. With relevant qualifications in mental health, resilience or a related you are either already qualified or motivated to further develop your expertise to make a lasting impact on students wellbeing and success.
