Job Title: Bid Manager
We are recruiting a Bid Manager to join a tier 1 contractor specializing in construction and FM. The successful candidate will work within the business development team to craft high-quality facilities management responses to Invitations to Tender, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, and Expressions of Interest. Additionally, the role involves developing FM service delivery models and solutions in collaboration with operational teams.
This role also supports Regional Directors and their teams in the bid process and negotiations for current and future bids.
The Role:
1. Support Regional Directors by providing creative and commercial solutions for bid requirements and initial draft submissions.
2. Lead and support the bid process, ensuring all relevant parties are informed of requirements and progress, including planning and advising on bid activities and resources.
3. Assist in populating generic organizational content into Selection Questionnaires, RFIs, and other bid formats.
4. Compile cost and data information for FM bids to accurately identify risks and commercial opportunities.
5. Conduct site visits during the bid process to identify cost and efficiency drivers.
6. Support mobilization activities related to FM services at new sites.
7. Identify pre-written content to aid proposal development.
8. Develop and rewrite content into a consistent, high-quality proposal style, including:
1. Creating responses from information provided by the business development team.
2. Interviewing contributors to gather raw information for draft responses.
About You:
1. Direct experience in facilities management and tender processes.
2. Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
3. Proficiency in Office applications, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
4. Skilled in IT systems, especially Office 365 with advanced Word skills.
5. A background in Media, English, or similar fields is advantageous but not essential.
