We are seeking an inspiring, organised, and student-centred Head of Year 12 who is also able to teach Science. This is a key pastoral and academic leadership role, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about sixth-form education and committed to supporting students at a pivotal stage of their academic and personal development.
About the Role
As Head of Year 12, you will:
Lead and oversee the academic progress, attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing of the Year 12 cohort
Support students’ transition into sixth form and establish high expectations from the outset
Work closely with tutors, subject teachers, parents/carers, and senior leaders to secure excellent outcomes
Track progress and implement effective intervention strategies
Deliver high-quality Science teaching at KS4 and/or KS5, depending on specialism and experience
Contribute to the wider life, culture, and strategic development of the sixth form

Previous pastoral or leadership experience is desirable but not essential; training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
