Head of IT Infrastructure – Asta Capital Limited, London, UK
Lead the development and execution of IT infrastructure strategies, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and business‑aligned technology services. Provide expert 3rd line technical support for the Asta Group and its customers, addressing BAU issues, managing IT resilience, and overseeing capacity planning. Cultivate strong client relationships and ensure high‑level changes adhere to change control procedures. Demonstrate the ability to lead and develop a high‑performing IT team, step in for the Head of Client IT Services and InfoSec when required, and collaborate effectively across business entities.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of IT infrastructure strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, overseeing the design, deployment, and management of robust and scalable IT systems.
* Monitor technology developments and industry trends, assess and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency, security, and performance.
* Lead a high‑performing infrastructure team; foster continuous learning and professional development.
* Build and sustain effective partnerships with clients, IT representatives, and prospective clients; collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to uphold rigorous standards.
* Ensure the IT infrastructure meets all security and compliance requirements; develop and implement policies and procedures to protect data and systems.
* Work with project managers to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to desired outcomes.
* Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including playbooks, ensuring rapid recovery and continued support of business operations.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud, storage, virtualisation).
* Cybersecurity principles and best practices.
* Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability.
* Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
* Excellent client management skills, dealing with SLAs and high expectations.
* Experience in a regulated industry.
