A well-established secondary school in Nottingham is seeking a calm, organised and people-focused Attendance & Pastoral Administrator to join its student services team. This role is central to supporting student wellbeing, attendance monitoring and communication with families.
The school has a strong reputation locally for its inclusive ethos, clear behaviour systems and excellent pastoral care. The admin team works closely with Heads of Year, safeguarding leads and senior staff to ensure students are supported effectively both academically and pastorally.
The Role
This is a varied and impactful role where accuracy, discretion and strong communication are essential. You will be one of the key links between home and school, supporting attendance strategies and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed correctly.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality
* First-day calling and follow-up with families
* Maintaining accurate attendance and pastoral records on the school MIS
* Supporting Heads of Year with student tracking and interventions
* Liaising with external agencies where required
* Producing attendance reports and summaries for leadership meetings

Who This Role Would Suit

* Has previous experience in a school office, attendance team or similar role
* Is confident speaking with parents and carers about sensitive issues

* Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality
* Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
Experience with SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
