Director of Professional Services

Our client is seeking a Director of Professional Services to lead and develop their international professional services function. This permanent role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the UK office (approximately twice per month) depending on business needs.
Reporting to the VP Client Operations, with an additional reporting line to the Executive Vice President, you will oversee programme management, technical services, training, and delivery teams. You will drive operational excellence, ensure consistent and high‑quality service delivery across global regions, and contribute to strategic planning and organisational growth.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
* Lead, mentor and develop an international professional services team, including programme management, training, technical and delivery leads.
* Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
* Support alignment and knowledge-sharing across regions, particularly with the Americas team.
Service Delivery & Client Success
* Oversee delivery of professional services projects to ensure high-quality outcomes and strong client satisfaction.
* Drive operational efficiency, resource allocation and project management across international engagements.
* Contribute to professional services sales engagement, including packaging, upsell opportunities, clear statements of work and pipeline growth.
* Collaborate with sales, product and client operations teams to support seamless delivery.
Performance Management & Reporting
* Consolidate, analyse and report service delivery metrics and financials, ensuring unified reporting across regions.
* Provide accurate forecasts, performance updates and recommendations for senior leadership.
* Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies.
Strategic Initiatives
* Contribute to the development and execution of the professional services strategy.
* Represent the professional services function within leadership forums and strategic decision‑making discussions.
* Support the development of new service offerings and training programmes aligned with client needs.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build strong, effective relationships with clients, partners and internal stakeholders.
* Act as an escalation point for complex projects, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and client satisfaction is maintained.
* Represent the organisation at industry events, client meetings and other relevant engagements.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, project management or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
* Proven experience leading professional services teams within the software, technology or intelligence sectors.
* Strong track record of delivering successful client projects across international markets.
* Experience in performance reporting, operational excellence and cross-regional collaboration.
* Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage complex, global engagements and drive cultural alignment across teams.
* Willingness to travel internationally as required.
* Professional, confident and capable of representing the organisation at senior levels.
