Blenheim High School is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and technically skilled Music Technician to support our successful Music Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for music technology, recording, sound engineering, and education to play a key role in supporting both curriculum and extracurricular music provision.
Working closely with our Director of Music, you will help maintain and develop the department's extensive technology resources, recording facilities, and musical equipment while supporting students in developing their musical talents and technical skills.

The Role
The successful candidate will support the Music Department through the management and maintenance of musical instruments, recording equipment, music software, studios, and ICT resources.
Key responsibilities include:
8. Maintaining music software, hardware, recording equipment, and electronic instruments
9. Supporting lessons and extracurricular music activities
10. Managing and supervising studio facilities
11. Setting up sound, staging, recording, and performance equipment
12. Supporting students with recording, coursework, and practice sessions
13. Maintaining equipment inventories and arranging repairs when required
14. Assisting with music resources, displays, and departmental administration
15. Supporting the music tuition programme
16. Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements

18. We are seeking a candidate who has:
Essential
19. Strong knowledge of music technology and recording equipment
20. Experience of maintaining and troubleshooting music-related ICT systems
21. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
22. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
23. The ability to work independently and as part of a team
24. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting a busy department
Desirable
25. A qualification or training in Music Technology, Sound Engineering, or a related discipline
26. Experience working within a school or educational setting
27. Experience of supporting performances, concerts, or recording sessions
28. Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection requirements
