Role Responsibilities of a Technical Sales Engineer
You will manage and develop sales in line with the UK business plan, supported by internal technical, production, and customer service teams.
* Managing and developing sales with existing accounts while generating new business.
* Creating structured visit plans using CRM and sales data, focusing on priority customers.
* Identifying opportunities, solving customer application problems, and providing technical advice.
* Negotiating and reviewing contracts, ensuring effective and profitable customer relationships.
* Reporting market intelligence and completing accurate CRM‑based sales reports.
* Managing territory efficiently with strong time and travel planning.
* Collaborating with internal departments to ensure excellent service and on‑time delivery.
* Attending sales meetings, quarterly reviews, and completing required training (internal/external, face‑to‑face or online).
Specification of a Technical Sales Engineer
* Experience in technical sales, field engineering, or industrial account management.
* Knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, belting, or automation is beneficial.
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
* Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and able to work independently across a large geographic area.
* Full UK driving licence.
