Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team, providing exceptional grooming services for a variety of animals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to ensure each pet leaves looking and feeling their best. Responsibilities
* Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to maintain cleanliness and coat health
* Trimming nails, clipping fur, and performing breed-specific grooming styles
* Checking pets for signs of health issues or skin conditions and reporting concerns to the veterinary team
* Handling animals with care and patience during grooming procedures
* Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area, including sanitising tools and equipment
* Providing excellent customer service by discussing grooming preferences with pet owners and offering advice on pet hygiene and care
* Managing appointments efficiently to ensure timely service delivery
Requirements
* Previous experience in veterinary care or animal grooming is highly desirable
* Strong knowledge of animal behaviour and handling techniques
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
* Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large or heavy animals onto grooming tables or into baths
* Compassionate attitude towards animals of all temperaments and sizes
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
