Overview
Hours: 30 hours per week (12pm - 6pm), Monday - Friday, term time only + 15 days in the holidays (note: independent schools have enhanced holidays).
Salary: P16 £26,349 FTE; actual salary for 30 hours TTO + 15 days is £17,871.54.

About GSAL Owls Teaching Assistant
GSAL is looking to appoint an Owls Teaching Assistant to support and deliver a range of engaging and stimulating activities for children in their afterschool provision. You will provide activities for children indoors and outdoors, support children with completing homework, maintain a clean and tidy area, encourage participation in games and activities to keep children happy and safe, and assist with personal care and support with eating and drinking.
Responsibilities
* Provide a range of activities for children aged 3-11, indoors and outdoors.
* Support children with homework and create a safe, inclusive environment.
* Maintain a clean and tidy learning space; ensure children are happy and safe during GSAL Owls sessions.
* Assist with personal care and support children with eating and drinking as required.
* Engage parents and carers where appropriate and communicate effectively about children’s needs.
Qualifications
* Ideally educated to Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent.
* Desirable: Paediatric first aid and food hygiene qualifications or willingness to complete training.
* Experience working with children aged 3-11 and understanding their needs and the statutory requirements for after-school clubs.
* Friendly, approachable, and polite; ability to communicate effectively to build positive relationships with parents and carers.
