Your New Role:
The Trainee Payroll Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the payroll department by executing daily, monthly, and annual payroll tasks such as but not limited to the following:
* Answering payroll-related queries from employees and the business
* New Starter and Leaver processing
* Statutory payment processing
* Absence processing
* Attachment of earnings orders processing
* Auto enrolment and pension contribution changes
* Company benefit scheme processing
* Creating and submitting the salaries payment file via BACS
* Preparing the monthly payroll journal
* Maintaining AIS data
* Processing tax year end documentation
* Ensuring national and international deadlines are complied with for own area of responsibility
* Ensuring the security of documentation and electronic data in own area of responsibility
About You
* Experience in end to end payroll processing
* High attention to detail
* Strong excel skills
* Driven with a strong work ethic
* Able to work under pressure, multitask and prioritise workload to meet business-critical deadlines
* Works in a structured, methodical manner
* Takes personal responsibility for resolving queries and issues
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Team player
* Positive attitude towards change and innovation
* CIPP/CIPD Payroll / Pension Qualifications (Desirable)
* Knowledge of ResourceLink Payroll System (Desirable)
* Experience of Workday HR (Desirable)
