Main Responsibilities
* Formulate various reports to a high standard.
* Participate in the Parole process / Oral Hearings as the assigned prison offender manager.
* Provide clear and accurate risk information / assessments on request.
* Provide relevant risk and compliance information via NOMIS for the purpose of re-categorisation via the digital categorisation process.
* 1:1 motivational work, support and risk management to address offending behaviour.
* Support and link with the allocated keyworkers in relation to caseload.
* Facilitate a multi-disciplinary sentence planning meeting in relation to resettlement support and risk management planning outlining relevant risk work requirements.
* Support OMU in maintaining a high standard of work currently achieved:
* Basic Custody Screening Tool (BCST)
* Delivery of recall packs within specified time frames in line with current PPCS recalls and review guidelines.
* Maintain regular links with relevant agencies in line with the current Offender Management Model: National Probation Service, CRC, and GMP for the robust risk management of offenders.
* Provide relevant information for those Resident’s subject to MAPPA arrangements on release. (Provide Prison Representation to meetings where possible)
* Complete relevant referrals for programmes / courses to address offending behaviour and level of risk.

The Ideal Candidate
* Good understanding of IT systems including Word and Excel, PNOMIS, CMS
* Excellent interpersonal skills- Both written and verbal
* Willingness to undertake relevant training required in line with Offender Management in Custody delivery model (OMiC) and other training relevant to the role.
* Ability to analyse complex information in order to make justifiable decisions.
* Experience of working with a diverse range of people who have experienced a range of social/personal difficulties, and of using tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
* An understanding of the key triggers/ factors related to offending behaviour, e.g. substance misuse, accommodation issues/ relationships/ Thinking and behaviour.
* Knowledge and understanding of risk management/risk assessment pertaining to offenders Experience in planning and coordinating work.
* Experience of working with groups or individuals to motivate and change behaviours.
* Security awareness.
