Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd Level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
* Minimum 3 years’ plus experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing the health and safety of all stakeholders
* Lead by example and ensure all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health & safety policies and procedures, integrating safety into all discussions
* Be fully aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
* Maintain full knowledge of the project Mechanical systems and track system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance with relevant standards
* Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP Quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the master construction program
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress in line with the master schedule
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works efficiently
* Review the master construction schedule for opportunities to optimize sequencing of Mechanical and CSA activities
* Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels
* Ensure system mechanical stakeholders produce necessary documentation including construction and commissioning programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
