About the Role As an Experienced Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting children with additional learning and behavioural needs. Your responsibilities will include: Providing consistent, nurturing support to pupils with complex needs. Working 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils engage in learning and develop social and emotional skills. Using de-escalation and positive behaviour management strategies to support challenging behaviours. Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities. Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them achieve personal and academic goals. Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm, term time only. About You The ideal candidate will be: Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEMH, ASD, or other complex needs. Confident in managing challenging behaviour and following behaviour support plans. Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a calm and positive approach. Team-focused, working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff. Passionate about helping every pupil reach their potential, no matter their starting point.
