HGV Class 1 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Garretts Green, West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
Shifts:
Monday to Friday, start times between 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Rates of pay:
Basic: £16.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties:
As a HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
Carrying out RDC or trunking work (curtain-side, no handball required)
Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential skills:
To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
A valid UK Category CE licence
A minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
Good spoken and written English
Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable experience:
Previous commercial driving experience
Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
Drivers will have a short assessment before any shift
