Overview
Senior Practitioner wanted to work within Stamford Out of Hours delivering face to face consultations and telephone triage. Part time post 18 hours a week.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a service for minor illness with see, treat and manage responsibilities for patients of all ages, including discharge or referral to other LCHS or partner services across Lincolnshire.
* Provide consultations face to face or by telephone and document thoroughly within patient notes.
* See, treat, manage, discharge and/or refer patients of all ages to other LCHS services or partner services; support other urgent care services (UTCs, home visiting, Clinical Assessment Service) as required.
* Provide clinical lead during shifts by modelling professional behaviours; influence, support and motivate colleagues to maintain morale in difficult situations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Regulated Health Care Professional with current registration.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Level 6/7 History Taking qualification.
* HEI or LCHS approved minor illness course; evidence of Level 7 study; HEI or LCHS approved paediatric course.
* Independent prescribing / supplementary prescribing qualification, or willingness to work towards.
* Desirable: leadership modules, recognising the sick child, teaching/assessing courses, chronic disease management.
* Significant post-registration experience with autonomous working at a highly specialised level; experience in clinical leadership; teaching/supervising/assessing; working in multidisciplinary settings; leading service improvement and innovation.
Additional requirements
* Disclosure and Barring Service check as part of Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 requirements.
* Current UK professional registration.
