Title: BDR (SDR) Manager

Location: Remote, UK

Contract: 09 months


Description:

The BDR (SDR) Manager reports to the Head of GTM Operations in the SQE Business Unit and manages two BDRs (SDRs), one based in UK and one in USA, who cover mostly inbound lead development with some outbound prospecting.

As the BDR (SDR) Manager, you will be the interface between the Business Unit and our global software sales organisation (GSS) and DES Marketing function working closely with Product Marketing within the BU..


You will ensure that marketing qualified leads (MQLs) are sufficiently nurtured and qualified to become Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) to be handed over to sales representatives as Client Opportunities. Your primary focus will be on optimizing the MQL development process, coaching/supporting the BDRs and collaborating with other departments to achieve demand generation goals.


Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development to team members.

Process Optimization: Develop and refine BDR playbooks, including outreach scripts, objection handling, and qualification criteria. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment and smooth lead handoff. Continuously improve lead generation processes and tools.

Prospecting and Lead Generation: Monitor lead quality and ensure accurate data entry in CRM systems. Work closely with BDRs to prioritize leads and ensure they follow up them effectively.

Metrics and Reporting: Analyse performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities. Prepare regular reports for senior management on BDR performance in the BU & GSS and pipeline metrics.

Collaboration: Liaise with marketing to align messaging and campaigns. Ensure successful handover of SQLs to sales reps. Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights and contribute to overall sales strategy

Willingness to also act as an individual contributor in qualifying MQLs or creating new outbound opportunities would be an advantage


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and > 3 years proven experience as an BDR/SDR or in a similar role and > 1 year in team leadership.

Experience in Software Sales a distinct advantage.

Strong coaching skills and ability to motivate and guide a team and get hands on to lead by example

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Extensive Experience with Client CRM software Client and Outreach.io or similar
