In this varied role, you will manage the day-to-day operation of designated workshops, ensuring they are safe, well-equipped, organised, and ready for learning. You will demonstrate, instruct, and assess practical skills in line with awarding body standards, while working closely with the Study Programme Manager to support learner progress, attendance, and achievement. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, managing consumable stock and ordering, keeping training documentation up to date, leading health and safety compliance within workshop areas, and undertaking associated administrative duties. You will also create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that supports individual learner needs, contribute to departmental marketing and events, maintain effective relationships with colleagues, employers, and external partners, and play a key role in helping students develop the skills and confidence needed for successful careers in the creative industries.
What we're looking for:
1. Industry experience working within the creative sector.
2. Working knowledge of the latest developments in digital technology.
3. An assessors or teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards.
4. An interest in supporting young people to learn and develop new skills.
5. The ability to work successfully within a team.
6. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
