Contract: 35 hours per week plus sleep-in shifts
Salary: Base salary of £23,277.80, with the potential to earn up to £28,893.80 per annum with sleep-in shifts

Are you a committed and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? LCS is seeking passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our team! You’ll work full-time (35 hours) plus 2 sleep-ins per week, with opportunities for additional hours.
Our vision is to create a positive and lasting impact on young people transitioning from care to independence. We provide not just accommodation, but also the support they need to thrive in their educational and personal journeys.
Your Role
As a Support Worker, you will engage, motivate, and encourage young people in their individual flats or shared houses. Your responsibility is to ensure a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for those you support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide practical support and guidance in line with individual care plans, helping young people develop essential life skills and achieve educational goals.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication.
* Assist young people in Education, Employment, and Training, documenting their progress and submitting evidence to instructors.
* Foster community connections, such as educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
What We’re Looking For
All applicants must have:
* Flexibility in availability for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
* A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
* Experience with attachment and trauma is desirable.
* Experience with challenging behavior and/or mental health issues is a plus.
* An understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
* A full driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable, though good public transport links are available.
* Intermediate computer skills.
