About Security & Resilience Practice The Security & Resilience Practice delivers programmes that help governments, institutions, and communities respond to complex security, governance, and resilience challenges. Our work spans a range of thematic areas, including defence and security sector support, national resilience, governance, and community security, often in fragile and conflict-affected environments. Working with bilateral and multilateral donors, the practice combines technical expertise, operational delivery, and strong partner networks to design and implement sustainable solutions in demanding contexts. As part of a growing and high-performing team, you will contribute to work that has tangible impact for clients and beneficiaries alike. About the Role Reporting to the Deputy Director, this role is primarily focused on the management and delivery of a flagship Security and Defence Programme in the Middle East. This multi-million, multi-year initiative supports defence and security services across areas including professional military education, operational capability, information operations, and policy and doctrine. You will be dedicated to this programme, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with client expectations, timelines, and budgets, while acting as a key point of coordination across project teams, consultants, and partners. Alongside this core responsibility, you will contribute to wider practice activities, including supporting project delivery across the portfolio and contributing to business development efforts when required. This may include supporting opportunity identification, proposal development, and engagement with clients and partners. About You You are a capable and motivated project manager with experience in international development, security, or a related field. You are organised, results-focused, and able to manage competing priorities in complex environments. You are an effective communicator and problem-solver, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and partners. You bring sound judgement, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. You will have experience supporting or delivering projects within an international context, and an interest in developing your skills in programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and business development. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Lead the day-to-day management and delivery of a flagship programme, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines, budgets, and performance standards Coordinate project teams, consultants, and partners to ensure effective implementation Support technical delivery, reporting, and quality assurance Monitor project risks, issues, and performance, ensuring appropriate mitigation and compliance Business Development & Practice Support Support opportunity identification, capture, and proposal development Contribute to the development of technical approaches and project methodologies Support the growth and development of existing projects and client relationships Engage with internal teams to support the development of new opportunities Stakeholder & Team Management Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders Support the management of consultants and in-country teams Collaborate across the practice to share knowledge and support delivery excellence Key Skills and Experience Essential Experience in project or programme management within an international development, security, or related context Strong organisational and time management skills Experience working with stakeholders in international environments Experience supporting or contributing to technical proposals for donor-funded programmes Strong communication and problem-solving skills Commercial awareness and ability to support budget management Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard project tools Desirable Experience working in fragile or conflict-affected environments Experience supporting government or donor-funded programmes Project management qualifications, such as PRINCE2, APMP or AgilePM Additional language skills, such as Arabic, French or Spanish Join us At TAG International, you will be part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team, working on impactful programmes that address some of the world’s most complex challenges.
