Property Surveyor

* Hours: 37.5 per week
* Salary: £47,000 + car allowance
Role Overview
You’ll ensure our homes are safe, compliant and well-maintained. As a Property/Building Surveyor in housing, you’ll manage a regional portfolio, leading inspections, repairs delivery and contractor performance to support residents to live independently.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver responsive repairs and minor works safely, on time and within budget
* Carry out site visits, pre- and post-inspections, and quality checks to ensure compliance
* Manage contractors, variations and complex repairs across multiple locations
* Monitor and control WIP, SLAs and KPIs to improve performance and reduce backlog
* Diagnose defects and deliver practical, cost-effective repair solutions
* Ensure compliance with Building Safety Regulations, fire safety and HHSRS
* Resolve damp, mould and condensation (DMC) issues in line with best practice
* Manage complaints effectively, using insight to improve services
* Provide technical support for incidents including fires and SUIs
* Work with residents and teams to maintain safe, high-quality homes
Requirements
* Experience in social housing, repairs, voids and contractor management
* Strong knowledge of building pathology and health and safety legislation
* Ability to manage WIP, data and multiple sites effectively
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Degree (or equivalent) in building/construction (essential); MRICS/MCIOB (desirable)
