We're recruiting!
Join us as a Waking Nights Support Worker and create a future where learning-disabled people live the best life possible.
Previous experience is essential as this role involves lone working.
We understand that life can be complicated for many. Some of us are prevented from working towards our dreams. Many learning-disabled people are not heard regarding the support they desire. Some are unable to decide what they do for work, how to spend or save their money, or try out new hobbies they love.
You can change that.
Join our growing team in Stonehouse!
If our values—Kind, Diverse, Positive, and Visionary—resonate with you, then we already have a lot in common. Come support learning-disabled adults with these values to develop skills, achieve life goals, and thrive in your community.
What we offer you
* Location: Stonehouse (Gloucestershire)
* Salary: £ per hour (basic rate + 10% waking nights premium), increasing to £ per hour from 1st October 2024
* Working hours: 10pm - 7am, 2 nights per week
* Generous holidays: 33 days of annual leave (including 8 statutory bank holidays)
* Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas
* Training & development: Fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
* Benefits: Health, retail, and cash incentives
What you'll be doing
Every day varies—from supporting someone with their weekly shop, to outdoor adventures, personal care, attending gigs, teaching money management, and more. Your role is to support individuals in discovering new interests, achieving goals, and maintaining relationships.
You will provide high-standard care for learning-disabled adults, listening to their needs, assisting with daily tasks, medication, cooking, and confidence-building activities.
A driving license is preferred, as public transport options may be limited.
We look forward to meeting you at our Stonehouse service!
