What You'll Do
Reporting to the Dispatch Team Leader, the holder of this position shall have responsibility for the packing of product and spares required for shipment to customers. Ensuring that all paperwork required for product / spares shipment is correctly actioned, copied as required, and reported back to the shipping function in a timely manner.
In addition, the holder of the position might be required to work within the Stores area ensuring materials required for production are issued from stores, receiving goods, correct booking in of good and receipt to store locations.
Responsibilities
Collect Units from Final Inspection on a regular basis during the day.
Pack units using the Wrap and Hold Machine and create a label with serial number for each carton.
Attach shipping paperwork to correct boxes for shipment.
Ensure that the second check of parts against paperwork is signed and returned to the Shipping Department. This ensure that correct carton is sent to the correct destination.
Segregate all Military/ITAR parts into their own section of the Dispatch area (to prevent incorrect shipment of Military parts) and have an understanding or working with and shipping Military/ITAR goods.
Unload delivery of packaging from Kite each day.
Place an online order for sufficient packaging with Kite each day before 2pm.
Make up sufficient Wrap and Hold Carton in advance on a daily basis.
Load Collecting vehicles and obtain drivers signature for traceability.
Some store functions as and when required.
Qualifications
Skills:
The ideal Candidate
Physically fit to be able to collect and wheel trolleys containing units from FID to Dispatch and lift units of up to 25kg onto the Wrap and Hold machine and shelving.
Knowledge of packing and packaging requirements and procedures.
Knowledge of Stores and Shipping procedures.
Good attention to detail with good numeracy skills.
Flexible in hours and approach in order to support the Business at critical times, with potential for working Saturday mornings as and when required.
Ability to be flexible and work in Stores when required, picking spares and Kits.
A Good team player, taking pride in their working area.
The successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR controlled technology, goods and information. As a condition of employment, employees with access to US ITAR controlled technology and goods may be required to undergo an additional screening process as part of the recruitment process.
