Job Title: 1:1 Tutor – English, Science & Maths (Dereham, Norfolk) Location: Dereham and surrounding areas – sessions held in students’ homes or local libraries Hours: Part-time / Flexible Pay: Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly through PAYE About the Role: TP Tutors is seeking passionate and committed educators in the Dereham, Norfolk area who want to make a real difference in children’s lives. You will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, delivering high-quality English, Science and Maths sessions to support their academic progress, improve engagement, and build confidence. Many of the students we support receive tuition outside of mainstream school settings, providing a highly rewarding opportunity to create meaningful and lasting impact. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions in English,Science and Maths. Support learners with SEND, SEMH, and additional needs using a child-centred approach. Implement effective behaviour strategies to maintain motivation and focus. Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to guide next steps. Requirements: Professional teaching qualifications preferred (QTS or equivalent), though experienced tutors are welcome to apply. Strong subject knowledge in English, Science and Maths. Experience working with children or young people with additional needs. Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one – support provided).
