About the Role
Lloyd & Whyte, part of the Benefact Group, are looking for a Schemes Development Manager to join the SEIB team in the South Ockendon office.
As a Schemes Development Manager you will work closely with the Schemes Manager to identify opportunities to develop new schemes, enhance existing propositions and expand our digital trading capability. The role involves exploring complementary products for existing schemes, identifying potential acquisition opportunities and maximizing investment in online platforms that allow scheme products to be traded 24/7 via dedicated e‑trade sites. This is a hands‑on role across sectors including charities, equestrian, funeral directors, motor trade, private hire, and property owners.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities for new schemes, complementary products, or enhancements to existing propositions.
* Assist with scheme reviews, renewal discussions, and performance reporting.
* Support product governance requirements and ensure delegated authority controls are maintained.
* Analyse scheme performance indicators including GWP, loss ratios, claims trends, retention, and new business conversion.
* Support the Schemes Manager with oversight of the existing schemes portfolio and act as a deputy during periods of absence.
Qualifications
* Confident and capable of building rapport over the telephone to provide an excellent client experience.
* Experience within consumer or commercial insurance, preferably within a broker environment.
* Understanding of FCA requirements including ICOBS, PROD and Consumer Duty.
* Comfortable working with data and MI to identify trends and opportunities.
* Confident communicator able to build relationships with insurers and internal teams.
