We are expanding rapidly in universities and higher education, helping departments adopt real-time animation, motion capture and virtual production in teaching and research. To support this growth, we’re hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR).
Job Purpose
This role sits at the intersection of sales, partnership and evangelism. You will help universities understand, adopt and integrate real time creative technologies into their curricula and research programmes, while also building and managing early stage sales development activity.
This is an ideal role for someone ambitious, coachable and ready to grow into education partnerships, creative tech sales or strategic accounts.
What You Will Do Day-to-Day
* Research & identify universities, departments and academic teams worldwide that would benefit from Animotive
* Build and maintain a high-quality prospecting pipeline
* Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone and social channels
* Qualify interest and identify use cases across education and research
* Qualify opportunities using BANT and ask thoughtful, relevant questions
* Collaborate with the wider sales team to hand over qualified leads. Book discovery meeting and demos with decision makers and stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records and pipeline management in HubSpot CRM
* Share insights from the higher education sector to refine our sales messaging and product development approaches
* Follow up on inbound interest with speed, relevant context, and a clearly aligned value proposition.
Essential Criteria
* UK-based candidate with ‘right to work’ status
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in outbound sales, business development, customer success, or lead/demand generation (SDR, BDR, LDR, ADR, or similar roles)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas simply
* Comfortable speaking with academics and professionals at all levels
* Demonstrable working knowledge of operating a CRM
* Genuine interest in creative technology, virtual production or immersive media
* Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in an early stage environment with an opportunity for growth.
Desirable Criteria
* MBA or similar in Sales or a related field
* Coachability and a willingness to learn directly from an experienced sales professional
* A genuine interest in sales and a strong desire to build a career in the field
* Good knowledge of BANT and confidence in using it in conversations
* Intellectual curiosity, resilience and confidence when speaking with new people
* Highly organised, motivated and comfortable managing daily activity
* Experience using HubSpot and/or Apollo

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 18:00 with 1-hour lunch
Location: Fully remote (United Kingdom). We are NOT offering visa sponsorship
