You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.
We are currently looking for a MEP Commercial Manager who will:
As the MEP Commercial Manager, you will:
1. Operations commercial manager, responsible for the management and commercial delivery of the MEP element of the Works
2. Prepare and support the MEP function in the production of Monthly reporting data and liaising with the Project Control Team
3. Leading and liaising with area commercial leads ensuring commercial teams are functional
4. Leading the monthly cost and performance reviews for each of the Enabling Function
5. Liaise with Project Controls to ensure data is kept up to date on commercial activities
6. Development of the MEP Functions Specific Cost and performance reporting and tracking as well as leading the resource and subcontract / agency suppliers
7. Manage disallowed costs, implementing mitigations measures where applicable
8. Leading the Co-ordination of the Cost Verification Framework and liaising with core in relation to this and getting the data from the assets to answer any queries on the CVF
9. Lead in the risk drawdown process with Project Controls
We are looking for:
10. RICS/CICES accredited Degree (or equivalent)
11. Full Membership of RICS or CICES (or equivalent)
12. Post-graduate commercial experience in the construction industry with demonstrable track record of achievement
13. Has a proven track record of managing large commercial teams in complex environments
14. Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
15. Demonstrable legal, contractual and construction knowledge and experience
16. Experience in implementing and delivering strategic objectives and associated change programmes
17. Confidence and ability to assert influence
