THE EMPLOYER IS: SOS BUS NIThis post will support the organisation as we move towards our 20th year as an organisation. They will be tasked with helping design and deliver on a programme of activity related to the upcoming milestone, including but not limited to, assisting in the organising of events, assisting in fundraising activities, delivering a series of volunteer celebration events, and assisting in the general running of the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of activities linked to the organisations 20th anniversary programme.
* Assist in the organisation and delivery of events, including volunteer celebration events, stakeholder events, and public facing activities.
* Provide practical support to fundraising activities.
* Support volunteer engagement initiatives, including coordination of celebration events, communications, and recognition events.
* Assist with day-to-day organisations administration.
* Support communications related to the anniversary of activities and liaising with external stakeholders.
* Assist with monitoring and tracking activity delivery.
* Provide administrative and organisational support to the senior team and wider organisations.
* Ensure all activities are delivered in line with organisational values, policies, and procedures.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative organisational culture.
Skills and Qualifications
* Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Ability to provide effective administrative support in a busy environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team and with volunteers.
* Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, and external contacts.
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
* Basic IT skills, including confidence using email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
* Ability to use own initiative and work with minimal supervision when required.
* Flexibility and willingness to support a range of organisational activities, including occasional evening or weekend events.
* Experience of supporting the organisation or delivery of events or activities.
* Experience of working or volunteering in the voluntary and community sector.
* Experience of supporting fundraising activities.
* Experience of working with volunteers, including coordination or engagement activities.
* Experience of using digital tools or platforms for communications, promotion, or administration.
* Ability to support simple monitoring or reporting activities.
* Experience of working with a diverse range of people and communities.
