Smarttech247 is looking for a highly ambitious, passionate and results‑driven Field Sales Representative to join our growing cybersecurity sales team. This role will focus on selling our specialist cybersecurity and MDR services into global organisations assigned by industry verticals.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in closing complex deals in IT security or managed services. You will be responsible for building relationships with key decision‑makers, developing tailored value propositions and driving revenue growth in your territory.
Location: Ireland (with international travel as required)
Reports to: Sales Manager / Head of Sales
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
* Identify, target, and engage prospective clients within your assigned verticals.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow new business opportunities.
* Position and sell our MDR (Managed Detection & Response) and PS offerings.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
* Build trusted relationships with C‑level stakeholders and technical decision‑makers.
* Understand client pain points, business needs, and security challenges.
* Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and solution demonstrations in collaboration with technical teams.
Sales Process & Execution
* Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and close.
* Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date opportunity pipeline in the CRM system.
* Work closely with BDRs, Marketing, and Sales Engineers to ensure successful outcomes.
* Be informed about trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory drivers in your vertical.
* Share market insights and feedback with internal teams to refine go‑to‑market strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in field sales of cybersecurity, IT services, or managed services.
* Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas.
* Proven ability to sell into global or multi‑national organisations.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence multiple stakeholders.
* Self‑motivated, ambitious, and driven by results.
* Knowledge of MDR, incident response, threat intelligence, or other specialist cybersecurity solutions.
* Existing network of security and IT decision‑makers.
